Hanovar.

Hanovar has been making wafers and coated chocolate in Syria since 1997. Its lines run from ten-gram counter pieces sold by the display box to forty-gram bars and 450-gram sharing pouches — Mirli, Brana and Travella among them, all produced on fully automated lines with in-house laboratory testing.

Mirli Coated Wafers

Hanovar's best-known wafer, coated in chocolate and cut into ten-gram pieces that sell by the display box. Moga carries a coffee cream; the cocoa original is the one people reach for first. Also boxed as an assorted gift tin.

Mex Brana Bars

The bar format: a coated wafer at thirty-two grams, cased twelve by twelve. Cacao is the everyday one, hazelnut the richer read, and dark for anyone who wants less sugar in the finish.

Hanovar Counter Wafers

The counter line — ten-gram coated wafers in a display box that sits by the till. Coffee is the strongest seller, chocolate the safe one, hazelnut the one regulars ask for by name.
